I was born in Bridgend in 1970 and lived in Brazil, Lancashire and (mostly) Cumbria before coming to Manchester to study. I've been here since 1989, apart from a brief decamp to Surrey to confirm all my worst suspicions about the South.

My small network of blogs covers the environment, Gardening, Food and model-making. There's also Spinneyworld, which is going to evolve into an international blog. You can also read short fiction and essays at Cycling on the Pavement and purchase stuff from my shop.

The tools used to create my comics include Poser, Photoshop, Illustrator and a Wacom tablet. I'm going to do some freehand stuff again one day, but not just yet.
