It's certainly a bit odd to start a comic series without featuring any of your main characters, but it helps to introduce the school, which I felt was important.

Notably, this is the only comic with "cel shading," as I found the shading overwhelming and generally less evocative than flat colors. There will be shading in other comics, but it's limited to situations with more extreme lighting.
