I am not incredibly familiar with manga, but I thought that it would be a fun subject for parody. Additionally, I had bought a few new pens on a whim, and this seemed like a good excuse to use them.

I get a kick out of the "so bad it's good" boxy robot villain, and it was fun to try and turn Egyptian gods into Sailor Moon-esque heroines.
