Helen Lafferty was born with a condition that resulted in paralysis over the left half of her body. Her face cannot move on that side, nor can she use her left arm or leg. She's been confined to a wheelchair for years. She's ten years old, and Angie's return to drinking with a vengenace is tied to Helen's condition and their inability to cure her. Nevertheless, Helen herself is pretty optimistic, and the best one-handed player of videogames you could hope to see.
