Curt Oswalt (ozmandious) says:
Lore would work if his character discription is as a living repository of knowledge. To me he seems to be more controlling and manipulative, as witnessed above. He could have demonstraded his control to Rafael by forcing (or preventing) a transformation, but instead he chose to inflict pain. That is not the action of someone who wants you to be a part of your team, that is the action of a thug and a bully, no matter how well educated.
Al Schroeder (alschroeder) says:
Yeah, but I really can't imagine him calling himself "Manipulative Bastard"---which is the title that REALLY fits him. *Grin* I'm glad you're seeing Lore's really a bad guy. That was the POINT.
Pam Rowe (spinkitty) says:
Don't forget that Lore was Data's brother on ST:TNG. My mind will trip over that even more than over "Sage".
Al Schroeder (alschroeder) says:
ARG?HHHH!!!!
tjgeezer (tjgeezer) says:
Curt and Pam are right. How about Control? It's a function appropriate to the group, so his underlying Mephistopheles aspect would not be immediately obvious, but it would still fit. Plus, Mephistopheles was a smooth hombre, not inflicting pain when charm and lies would do. "Control" would contain it all without being obvious. Just a 2-cent thought.
