Yep. Oil and water. These two do NOT play well together.
I might comment that he has to amplify the brightness in the x-ray view because earth's atmosphere shields us from almost all the sun's x-rays. If he didn't amplify, an x-ray view would be utter darkness...unless he were next to an x-ray machine.
More next time on Vigilant---how he can see wavelengths LONGER than visible light. Infra-red is just the beginning. He can even see radio waves....
Even though the human eye is physically too small to resolve radio waves the way it does light waves. The waves are too LONG. That's why radio telescopes are so huge...nevertheless, Vigilant can do it. More next time.
