Lore--Ashton Soul--doesn't maintain a training room per se.  The original X-Men Danger Room must have needed to be constantly maintained and repaired. The later holographic one is a little better, if far beyond present day technology (and is the hologram REALLY as good as a real threat?) but it's not the most elegant solution. The easiest thing is to have two of the Next Level square off against each other in a match, improving both of their skills.
