Yeah, it's been a while.

 I was working on something a little different on the art, and I needed the extra time to get it right.

ANYway...

Yeah, Vigilant was bad news for this family.  Multiple deaths, abandonments, deafness, fires...all caused by him trying to learn and use his abilities.  Accidental, every one.  But the collective guilttrip explains a LOT about him.

 There's a REASON in the X-books at Marvel that mutants don't get their powers until they're adolescent. Imagine a baby with Cyclops' power...
