This is the 2004 T-Shirt design for the Animaritime Convention, probably drawn around Nov/Dec of 2003. An early version of Aphra, with her ship, the Oroonooko. It's named after the short story I read in 4 different courses in University, a short story by Aphra Behn, a Charles II era writer/playwright, whom Aphra is named after. Aphra Behn was infamous in later periods for her scandalous writing style, which lead to her stuff being ignored in the prudish Victorian period. Modern Scholars later reestablished her, and her stuffs everywhere in courses. She's also cool for supposedly being a Spy for the King of her time :)
