Behind the Scenes
It took forever to figure out a camera placement for panel 4 that would pick up Gallimimus, Lewis the Apatosaur, and show that they are in reception. To save time and clutter there isn't a background, and I didn't want to add one just for panel 4.
In the end the high camera angle worked, but I also modeled a reception sign to make sure it was clear where they were. I'm not sure that clears up everything, but I did think that the sign came out looking pretty good.
The "physical" comedy at the end didn't turn out that well, and I hope it never shows up again. Wittier comedy, or, I should say, attempts are wittier comedy are what I am aiming for.
Behind the Lobe
This is (almost) the very first Non-Canonical. They get better than this. The very first cartoon of 9-panels was submitted to the Renderosity Comics editors for inclusion on the Renderosity Comics Page. They liked what they saw enough to request a sample selection of 5 cartoons. Renderosity guidelines cut me down to six panels which in the end I think has been very helpful. It is easy to edit out bad stuff, but editing out good stuff that isn't necessary is a lot harder. Starting with this first cartoon, where I worked hard to edit out a third of the panels, has left the results more tightly focused.
