carlos coto (c-los) says: ouch. poor guy. the question is, is violet being sarcastic? i cant tell by her expression but it looks like she is interested. nice drawing of the wolf or husky.
steven conroy (starfox64) says: Come on Bat Boy! Get it together!
Simcha-Yitzchak Lerner (tgif) says: Sounds a bit full of himself - have to see how this works out!
Spinal Puppet (stengah) says:

There may be some cocky high school boys... but I've never known any cocky enough to refer to themselves in the third person. I'm even a little surprised that she said yes.

JD McLeod (redkirk) says: Darrin talks in the 3rd person --Just like Bob Dole.  I wonder if they take the same ED medz?
Iron Glenn (ironglenn) says:

Haha, I like Darrin so far.  He is amusing.  Apparently talking in third person is a good way to get chicks... who knew?

Unfortunately he'll probably turn out to be The Jerk, but oh well.  He's cool for now.  (Even if only for the bat's expression in the last panel, the more thwarts the better.)

Pete Bagheera (bagheera) says: Darrin is quite the womanizer.
Tyren Herbert (darkmirror) says: Owned. But people who talk in the third person creep me out.
brandon wi11iams (sangaire) says: ok i wanna slap "darrin" people who talk about themselves in the 3rd person piss me off more then anything else in teh world, though personally i would love to see the bat and violet get togethor
Dread Lord CyberSkull (cyberskull) says: CyberSkull thinks Darren is an ass.
Dillon Harrigan (dillon) says: Once again... AH HA HA HA!
Dan Knightmare (knightmare4u) says:

ha.. this is gonna end well.. *poors on the sarcasm*

I hope not only does he talk in 3rd person but I hope he completely narrates his life aswell.

yeah he's a jerk. but most girls fall for them so that's more then likely why she said yes.. Sadly I don't think Violet has the most self-esteem.

lack of real dad sometimes leads to this more then others.. not that stew didn't do a great job as filling in as a dad.. but yeah..

I really don't think bat boy should end up with her.. but i do hope by the end of the comic violet has grown to learn from such situations like datin this darrin guy.

Debra Chahley (northtigress) says: Really? More annoying than people who refuse to use punctuation, capital letters or proper spelling? Seriously, though, I wouldn't get within a hundred feet of anyone like Darrin. Now, or when I was in High School
Iron Glenn (ironglenn) says:

Nooo... Darrin's way better than the Bat!

Maybe the bat and that random girl who teleported into the closet, but not with Violet!

E voyager (darke3_voyager) says: it hurts in ways a man should not feel.
Dan Knightmare (knightmare4u) says: what he says that really bothers me.. is he's gonna pencil her in.. but cleary he's useing his phone to plan the date.. and that's what grinds my gears back to you Diane
Drew (pseudowolf) says:

I don't see a problem with this. Yeah, Darrin's probably self-absorbed, but hey why not say yes? Violet's self-esteem is probably fine. The guy's cute, a little wacky with the third-person narrative, but she didn't have anything else planned. Why not go to a movie with the guy? If he turns out to be a jerk, she'll drop him and she got a free movie out of it.

*shrugs*

Ace Shaw (auryngrigori) says: Come on Skylar! You have the wings! All you need is the backbone!
Anton Schleef (razmoudah) says: I'm sorry, but what's a 'real' dad?  If you are referring to her sire I do believe that late in FWF he got visitation rights with Violet so they could hang out occasionally.
Spinal Puppet (stengah) says: Nice Family Guy reference Knightmare.
Dan Knightmare (knightmare4u) says: get well misty! *hugs*
Arc Stephens (skullwing) says: Naw, I stil kinda support Skylar with Violet, I don't know why. I figure, yeah he may be a little underconfident and quirky, but seriously, I dont think Darrin would accept Brad at all. I sure though that Skylar of all people would be able to manage with the chaotic nature of the people Violet knows.
Pete Bagheera (bagheera) says: "pencil in".... He also sounds as if he's planning dates with a dozen girls or something. :P
carlos coto (c-los) says: lmao. somebody had to do the what grinds my gears joke.  it fits in this one perfectly.
Ralph Hayes (rhjunior) says: Awww, please don't torment us all with that horrid "Charlie Brown and the Redhead Girl" routine!
Ralph Hayes (rhjunior) says:

An observation from the sidelines in the battle between the sexes:

Guys, confidence counts for more with girls than we ever know (especially in the first rounds of the game at an early age.) Whether you're a prep, a jock, a geek or a freak, walk tall and they'll come around eventually.

Sean Chapman (angstskunk) says:

hooray for self-confidence!  *puts paper brown bag over head*

and voice lessons from Smeagol!

Misty Caldwell (anivasion) says: Thank you for the well wishes, knightmare ^_^
Tim Balderramos (pacmantab) says: Darrin can't hear you over the sound of how awesome he is.
Ralph Hayes (rhjunior) says:

and, as an aside:

Aww, PLEASE don't do that whole "Charlie Brown and the Little Red-Headed Girl" thing to us with Violet and the bat kid!

Nick Stevens (darketiger) says: Nick feels that Darrin stole his ideas, perhaps Nick should rub him out for penciling someone in...
Mittie Jane Katlin (mittenjanie) says: Too late, Skylar. Wonder how the date will go.
