Been playing a lot of Magic the Gathering lately. It's been awhile since I played last and recently returned to the game. Some fun new additions to the game have occurred while I was away.
One of the most notable additions is the additions of Planeswalkers. Planeswalkers are like mini versions of you the player. They are less powerful than you but can effect the game in dramatic and specific ways. This has made way for interesting products such as Duels of the Planeswalker a video-game featuring the Planeswalkers and various decks of cards played much like the game is.
The next thing that came out we recently had a chance to playtest is called Archenemy which is a new multi-player dynamic with a new rule set where a large group does not have to kill each other so much as unite against one common foe... it gives it a more DnD style feel as you band together more. It's fun and really effects the feel of the game and yet is incredibly challenging.
Well I'm not getting paid for this review so I'm gonna wrap it up.
On a unrelated side note this is the first time I've used a Wacom tablet to aid in the production of a comic... whereas I cannot afford a Cintique this tablet was still very nice for streamlining a few things.
