A Brief Explanation of the Above:
One of the stranger non-fiction comics assignments I've ever had came up in the last month.
Oregon Health & Science University's dermatology department asked me to illustrate five "Acne Myths" in comic-strip form. These comics appear in a light-box display at the new OMSI exhibit "Body Worlds 3: The Anatomical Exhibition of Real Human Bodies."
I adapted OHSU's script with a color assist from Chad Essley (and a character assist from Dr. Do and Mr. Don't).
If you'd like to enjoy the comics as intended -- i.e., surrounded by flayed and plasticized human corpses in amusing poses -- you can find them at OMSI from June 28 to July 4, 2007.
