Page one of four with Flexia and Fanboy celebrating Halloween a little out of sync for the calendar. It is even a little out of sync for Halloween. The joke is supposed to be the incongruity between Halloween and celebrating it like Christmas. Unfortunately, this strip was predicative because Halloween has since went from an overlooked and underrated second string holiday to one that is overly commercialized and Christmasified.

Flexia R. Bast is all dolled up like Elvira on steroids. Except without the steroids since ol' Fang is naturally a bone-crusher of a gal. Elvira, MIstress of the Dark, was a pin-up celebrity back in those days. The figure rendering is again mired in that so close but yet so far area.

This strip was originally drawn for one of Jim Main's fanzines back in my United Fanzine Organization days and was then collected and recycled in this book.
