ACT II now running at www.paradigmshiftmanga.com
So It Begins (soitbegins) says: I keep telling you and telling you! It's a were-you-know-what!
Laur Joost (tomcc) says: A fitting name you have, mr. Begins. Is this fed actually going to fill them in on the werewolf fact? Something wrong with him (though, good for us of course)?
So It Begins (soitbegins) says: He doesn't KNOW it's a were-you-know. We're the only ones who know, based on the material show to us earlier. (Which was hinting very strongly at a certain protagonist being IT.)
Jeff Nevins (jeffnevins) says:

Cool opening BG.

Question: How do you get those arrows below this box?  I can't figure that out. Thanks!

Zedd Overkill (zeddoverkill) says: Thar be TWO weres, if you are keeping close watch. And they are the same kind, if I have read this right...
The plot thickens!

Keep up the good work, Dirk!
Ian Morrison (starstriker) says: No, they aren't the same type. The one doing most of the mauling (our big homeless dude) is cat like, and the size of a lion to boot. Kate's definitly a werewolf. The story only hints at it so far, but Dirk's sketches make it pretty clear.
Davis Gibson (kumatsuotaku) says: Jey Dirk! I just found out from Jen Arves' latest update on Mystic Revolution!  Congratulations, man!
Zedd Overkill (zeddoverkill) says: Ditto! And Ian, I mant to say they aren't, but my fingers decided to rebel that day. And the site froze as I posted. >.<
Doc Neilson (echoes_of_silence) says: hah!  Again with the protein bomb.
So It Begins (soitbegins) says: So the cases *WERE* connected? (Pun very, very intentional.)
Kita Ross (lithium_delusions) says:

Congratulations on the big day!!  Wish you two all the best!

Found this through DA and read it ravenously (kinda like Kate with a steak) in one sitting.  Love your work and  am enjoying the story so much.

If Kate is not the one snacking on people...might she have some sort of link with the one who is?  Ooh the speculation... *wanders off to muse on the story*

Paul Ponder (gauntkat) says:

Congratulations! I hope it all goes well!

Been with your site for a while now, and I must say that I thoroughly enjoy the story. I'm working through college to become a Police Officer at the moment, and I can only wonder what it will actually be like. Your story gives me something intriguing to think about every time I look at it. Good luck! Can't wait till the next update.

Jeff Gum (sandgate) says: I don't think you'll have any run-ins with werewolves, Paul. ;)
So It Begins (soitbegins) says: I doubt that you will. Fortunately.
Timothy Schoonhoven (lord_obsidious) says:

Y'know, with the way Xiang was cut off and how he looked at the waitress, I can't but help get the idea  that he suspects Kate of "something" *sniggers*

Heh, just a thought ^-^

So It Begins (soitbegins) says: Yum!!
Kita Ross (lithium_delusions) says:

Mike's like "I can see your arteries hardening from here."

Loving this!!

Davis Gibson (kumatsuotaku) says:

Mmmm, steak and eggs!

Timothy Schoonhoven (lord_obsidious) says:

Muwahahahaha, gotta love that little joke ^-^.  Of course, there may be a...reason for all the want for protein XD.

Also, did anyone notice how Xiang has that odd, almost susprisious look at Kate when she's biting into her stake, as well as a couple of other times in a previous pages.

Coincidence...or not?  That's the question XD.

Davis Gibson (kumatsuotaku) says: Yeah, I noticed... I'm just not analyzing it down here to let people who don't notice have fun.
Alex Jones (darkphoenixv1) says: I just noticed your going to be at ohayocon this year! I cant wait!
So It Begins (soitbegins) says: Semitransparent hair (see 1st panel) FTW.

P.S: First.
Davis Gibson (kumatsuotaku) says:

And I love the totally non-comittal answers that the agent (whose name I can't remember for the life of me) are giving!

Kita Ross (lithium_delusions) says: It's obvious Mike is getting a bit annoyed with the non-answers.
So It Begins (soitbegins) says: WERE do you think he might be?
Ed Gedeon (eddurd) says: OK, SoIt, the obvious line from "Young Frankenstein" just jumped into my head ...
Parker Smith (parker) says: It would be better if the Major did not have Captain's insignia on his collar (oak leaf vs. bars) - but maybe the picture is old?
Dirk Tiede (dirktiede) says:

Sharp eyes, Parker.  ;)
So It Begins (soitbegins) says: BTW, which line? I last watched 'Young Frankenstein' many years ago, and the only line I can remember is that "Frau Blucher" business.
Ian Morrison (starstriker) says:

Wait a sec. So our seven foot, heavily muscled homeless human tank is an army major!?

This just got more interesting.

A. Chum (achum) says: See that expression on Kate's fae? Looks like she knows something... uh oh.
Kita Ross (lithium_delusions) says: Can't wait for the next page...
Bryan Climer (revarien) says: Something smells like a cover-up!
So It Begins (soitbegins) says: Smells like the 3-day old fish that they try to foist onto the more gullible consumers at the supermarket.
Kita Ross (lithium_delusions) says: I'm just gonna jump on the comment train here and agree that something stinks!
Dirk Tiede (dirktiede) says: All I can say is:
Heh heh heh...
Zedd Overkill (zeddoverkill) says:

Ah, good old FBI (I pronounce it "fibby" xD) cover-ups. And so, the plot thickens!!

This just gets better and better. ^_^

So It Begins (soitbegins) says: Heh heh heh? Is someone here a Narbonic [Director's Cut] fan?
Dirk Tiede (dirktiede) says: Have you not seen my contributions to that fine epic, yet?
Shaenon and I go way back.
Nick Goss (gni) says: I've been reading the comic for awhile and I must say, the longer I read the more and more it is reminding me of Cat People (remake mostly). This is a good thing.
Dee Traceworth (lucifiel) says: Aww man, finally... things are really starting to heat up. =) Been reading this for over a year or two now. xD Dee
So It Begins (soitbegins) says: Nya! Nya!
Ian Morrison (starstriker) says:

Since everyone is saying it, but somehow neglecting to put it into words, it falls to me:

...er, sorry.

So It Begins (soitbegins) says: I still beat you to it with 'Nya'.
Ian Morrison (starstriker) says:

So you have, so you have.

Geoff Blizard (paxromana) says: And then they find that Bryant has already turned himself in, necessitating some real answers for everybody, readers included.
Andrew Brown (andrewxc) says: He can't say whether the guy is active duty?  That seems... Not right at all...
Fionn Silverwolf (chunkboi) says:

It's almost seeming like chiches...but then again, the events do make realistic sense as far as behaviors and the procedure go...and I half expected Agent Pendergast to show up.

Conrad Dmitrius (conrad) says: Sorry to be perrrrsnickity, but the rank shown on Bryant's clooar is that of an Army captain, not a major.
Conrad Dmitrius (conrad) says: Yup, and I am sure you can be just a critical of my typing and spelling skills...(I was a little distracted, sorry)
