ACT II now running at www.paradigmshiftmanga.com
So It Begins (soitbegins) says: Ok, now it stinks really badly.

P.S: First.
Bryan Climer (revarien) says: Yeah... I figured he'd want to have a chat with her... I hope she doesn't meet him on a full moon :P
Dan Pajor (thepageturner) says: Might I be the first to say that is an awesome image on the bottim panel, to the right. Is that a hint of jealousy in his eyes?
Kita Ross (lithium_delusions) says:

Jealousy and more (at least to me, but then in the whole comic, you can tell Mike's got a major soft spot for Kate).  Mike is veeeeerry unhappy in this whole page. (i.e. top panel expression for proof.) And yeah, this guy stinks like three-day dead fish.

Chat my ass.  Can we say interrogation session?  Very good. I knew you could do it.

Ian Morrison (starstriker) says:

I can say nothing here that has not already been said. Instead:

 Can't wait 'till next week.

Nicholas Ladendorf (nilgravity) says: More updates! Or quit leaking spoilers to me! one or the other!
Nicholas Ladendorf (nilgravity) says:

Oh dirk I forgot to tell you if you want to copy the guest appearance

and put it in the fan art section go right on ahead.

So It Begins (soitbegins) says: Jealousy eh?

P.S: First.
Kita Ross (lithium_delusions) says:

Oh, yeah... Mike is not happy!

Dirk, does the M.E. hate Kate or is she just naturally that snarky?  Jeez, what an attitude!

P.S.: Second--RATS!!!

Bryan Climer (revarien) says: Mike knows that.... IT'S A TRAP! :P jk Oh... and that final joke: "Cleaning up your mess"... the bodies or the throw-up? :P
Zedd Overkill (zeddoverkill) says: Probably the latter, BC. And I have to agree with So, though I think Mike is also getting a bad vibe from Mr FBI. (remember kids, it's fibby! xD)
Ed Paradis (zudarkness) says: I don't trust the FBI either
Carling McGuire (dbzfreak897) says: This plot keeps getting thicker and thicker. I don't like Mr. Secret Agent Man. He seems to know something. He knoooooows.
Kita Ross (lithium_delusions) says:

Love the contrasting third, fourth & fifth panels...

Dying to know what happens!

So It Begins (soitbegins) says: DUN DUN DUNNNNNN...
A. Chum (achum) says:

before, i had a feeling that kate was a were, but now i wonder whether she just gets strange flashbacks of other weres? hmm... maybe? i mean, she doesn't seem to be very hairy, and if she was the were, she'd be shedding that hair all over... i'd be really freaked out if i were she...

o_o on the edge of my seat...

i hope i'm not accidentally giving anything away because i honestly have no idea what's going to happen!

Nik Wong (nik) says:

That's interesting. If the time of death was at 4.30am, the previous comic at http://www.webcomicsnation.com/dirktiede/ps/series.php?view=archive&chapter=12312

(3.34am) would rule Kate out as the murderer... the plot thickens :P

Anyway, it's been a great comic thus far, and I must say your art style is pretty unique, especially with the level of detail.

Keep up the good work :)

Ian Morrison (starstriker) says:

Actually, that doesn't rule out Kate as the murderer at all... in fact, it supports it. The scene STARTS at 3:34 AM, but there's several hallucinations and nightmares between then and Kate getting out of the shower. The fact that she was having these nightmares BEFORE the murder suggests in turn that they were the cause of it. I would guess that the end of that scene is somewhere around 5:00 to 5:30. This is further supported by the fact that she's having flashbacks to the murder.

In short, Kate ate this guy. :)

Can't wait for next Tuesday, Dirk!

Geoff Blizard (paxromana) says: I'd would just like to say that Kate's 'Bitch and proud of it" coffee mug (not that it's shown up in this cluster of pages yet) is a really nice touch.
Ian Morrison (starstriker) says:

I was more impressed with the contrast between Kate and Mike's desks, actually. Mike's is clean, organized, professional, the monitor is unplugged, and he has his status of guan yu. Kate's is messy, haphazard, and covered in not-necessarily-work-related STUFF. It's touches like that that just bring characters to life. :D

Needless to say, I'm taking notes.

So It Begins (soitbegins) says: You're lookin' at 'er.
Bryan Climer (revarien) says: Darn you soltbegins... you beat me to it! :P
Dan Pajor (thepageturner) says: In the last panel, I'm digging the "blood wings". Ooooooo,
Dread Lord CyberSkull (cyberskull) says: The wings are cool!
Zedd Overkill (zeddoverkill) says:

Actually, so...Kitty is in lockup right now.

And yes, the "wings" are sweet. ^_^

Islam Sharabash (zudo) says: I love how you single her out in the last panel, this comic has subtle details that make it play like a really good movie~
Cisel Kane (cisel) says:

Ether its a trick of my monitor or the angle, but notice the smaller paw prints going in and the larger ones comeing out in the secound frame? Little animal and then bigger animal?

Also! Sweet effect with the last frame and the blood wings!

Geoff Blizard (paxromana) says: It pleases us.
Megan NotTelling(sorry) (meggiemaccat) says: Don't know about anyone else, but I think the one doing all the murders is a different one than either of the two weres being hinted at so far (Kate and the mysterious blonde guy).  Just wanted to say that.
Ian Morrison (starstriker) says: I dunno. To me, the evidence points pretty clearly to the homeless soldier for the second one (he was on the scene, footprints seem to suggest him, and he was evading police (and jumping over tall fences to do so). The latest is definitly Kate's doing... the dream sequences and flashbacks are one part of that, but the fact that the latest killing are done by a dog-like creature basically seals the deal. The first killing is up in the air, though... we'll have to wait for Gina's test results for that one.
Nicholas Ladendorf (nilgravity) says: smaller prints are going the opposite direction. there is wildlife in the parks of chicago. Mostly squirells but the tracks look more like a raccon or something (which there are plenty of in the suburbs). Three years ago animal control had a very cartoonish chase with a coyote just about where this crime scene is.
Marc K (mechatron) says: Yes, get to the bottom of it! :)
Islam Sharabash (zudo) says: oh noes!
Laur Joost (tomcc) says: whoa there, Gina approves of something they do? I mean, what's up with that :D
Ian Morrison (starstriker) says:

Obviously, Gina is part of a massive government coverup. It's the only explanation. O_o

An "alert", eh? Something tells me that they're going to be getting a call from the station pretty quick.

Drgnkght (drgnkght) says: Personally, I'm curious how the FBI is going to spin the fact that the guy he's supposedly investigating for these murders was locked up when it happened. There's no way he could be out of jail already for roughing up an officer at the station. Just had another thought, do you suppose Mike or Kate should call the FBI to check on a certain supposed FBI agent? (Just because he has a badge doesn't mean he's legit.)
Fionn Silverwolf (chunkboi) says:

And now we have wolf tracks, plus DNA...plus scene matching flashbacks...which can only mean one thing...

Kate's been getting way drunk and doing naked CSI work.

Bird Sm (newgirl) says:

recently found this comic and i'm hooked.

love the way kate's framed in ''so where's kitty'', an addition to the fact that the shape of her hair in that instant looks surprisingly like cat's ears...
