We create our own reality every time we put pen to paper or fire up the graphic design software. If that's true, then what kind of sick god am I?

Frighteningly Pretentious Komix!

Golden Age superhero comics are amazing things. Things of bizarre, surrealistic beauty.

For instance, that "dive into a vat of molten lead" thing? I didn't make that up. The character of Steel Sterling, who appeared in Zip Comics and Jackpot Comics, was a young scientist who had created a formula to make himself bulletproof. Since animal testing is for wusses, he slathered himself with the completely untested formula and leapt into a vat of molten steel.

It was the Golden Age! Science didn't worry about the real world!
