The Demo crew took a chainsaw to the walls just above the sill all the way around two of them, used an excavator to yank them down and haul them to the dump. Two years standing roofless does wonders to OSB sheeting. Just shot through with black mold from those wet Oregon winters. Total waste of trees, most of it hopefully got hauled over to BioMass. The rest of the housing sits with its dried up crusts of rolled sod lawns that haven't been watered for the last 2 1/2 years. Yummy presentation.

The town council has declared war on any outlying landowners who farm. LID's go into effect, the landowner gets charged $65,000 to $95,000 for improvements and has to take out a mortgage or subdivide and sell. Yep, it was a real weiner of a proposition and the Aunt Millie PR worked like a dream. Our retribution will come when fuel gets so expensive that we can't take advantage of globalized food supplies bringing in our produce from Mexico, Central America and Chile.
