Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, and building back up...

Countdown to Realtime!

The clock stands at: 6 days to realtime

That's it; the last of the pre-drawn strips has been uploaded in the current block. These strips were drawn over a period of years for weekly publication... I've been uploading them daily. Starting Tuesday anything you see in this space is new, drawn just for webcomical publicationizing... and there’s nothing in the buffer right now!

I still haven't entirely settled on the new, post-realtime format, so likely what you'll see is a little experimentation, for starters. You probably won't get giant, Sunday-size strips every day, but I’ll try to post smaller strips regularly… say Tuesdays and Thursdays for starters, working up to M-W-F and then (eventually) daily?

Or you’ll watch me crash and burn.

Oh -- I've been working on some purely on-line comics (many of the fanfic variety) while uploading these Yossarian strips; some are at Serenity Tales (see below), others are hosted at my Livejournal.

‘Serenity Tales’

I’ve got a new strip up at Serenity Tales — it’s a collaboration with writer Mark Bourne. From the description at the site: "The Story: Jayne hearts comic books. The crew hearts making fun of Jayne for hearting comic books. "

Sean Smithers (golux) says:

Had one down here on this end of the state. The glaze ice was slicker than owl poop and all sorts of vehicles were spun out in ditches, fields, yards, etc. They were everywhere but on the roads, and the more drive wheels they had the further through the fences they got. The local radio station was warning everyone off the roads and to forget going to work. Walking on it was like trying to walk on a greased board, any sudden move and you'd do an a**plant quicker n' lightning.

An old family friend, Mary drove her old Dodge Volare to town and back, round trip of 30 miles. One of the family asked her what she thought about the slick road conditions. She said she hadn't really noticed anything was wrong until she was headed back home and saw a 4 wheel drive truck spin out ahead of her, head through a three strand barbwire fence and end up doing a 360 out in the cow pasture and she decided she needed to stop and see if they were ok. She gently pulled over, stopped, did her duty and then drove off home. Quite the pioneer woman.
