Ben T. Sharpley was formerly in the U.S. Army, until a training accident left him with a deformed neck and spine. Now on a disability pension, he augments his income by running the Ripplecade Fun Park, in the Broad Ripple neighborhood of Indianapolis. Ben's first wife died in childbirth, leaving him with a son.
