Say good night, Jane.
It turns out that I have more time for drawing than I expected ... my boss called me into his office last Friday and told me that it was my last day there. I was expecting to stay one more month, but the upper management forced the department to cut back. Well, I have a few prospects already, and a couple of them are even within driving distance of home!
I've never understood layoffs. It's like having one of those ancient galley ships powered by a hundred guys rowing, and the captain saying, "You know, I bet we could go faster if we threw half our rowers overboard..."
A new comic I've discovered: Endtown by Aaron Neathery. Follow the adventures of a young man named Al, in a post-apocalyptic future, when a few pockets of civilization survive. Can Al make his way through this tortured world? Can he manage a mutated girlfriend? And can they find anything to eat besides @#$%&* beans?!
