As you may have guessed, Hornswoggle is not the most successful of villains.

As I'm posting this, I'm at home in Fort Wayne, looking at the weather reports and wondering if I can make it back to Indianapolis tomorrow in time to get to work on Monday.  While I wouldn't mind another day at home with Joan, I really can't afford to miss any hours at work.  Well, we will see.

Today, we put up our giant tree (it's nice having an old house with 9-foot ceilings sometimes), got the lights on, decided we didn't like the cheap ornaments we bought last year, went out and got some new ornaments, stopped by the used furniture store "just to look at" this hutch that my wife thought was nice, found myself helping the owner load it in his truck and carry it into our house ... and you know what?  It felt like Christmas.
