Mondays and Fridays
And why is the tight end running a deep post?

ED:  Meet Jakob Freilander, former factory worker and football fanatic.  And yes, he's from the Old Country, so you can imagine him with a bit of an accent.

My day job is changing me from contract to direct hire ... so hopefully my days of city-hopping are over.  Home and job are in the same state ... now if I can just get them into the same city.

A new month is coming, and a new start on the TopWebComics standings.  As soon as the calendar says April, please remember to vote for us!

ERIK:  I'm not a football person.  When I read Jakob's dialogue for panel 5, I thought to myself, "Just smile and nod".

ED: By the way, has anyone noticed the new "Donations and Wallpapers" link at the top of the page?

Mark Chapman (aardvark86) says:

The players are carrying the ball, so it's not soccer, and the gent from The Old Country knows about it, so it's not gridiron. Rugby union? (and with that, ladies and gentlemen, my knowledge of football is exhausted...)

Joseph Rasche (thewarriorofmanyfaces) says:

I have to say, Erik, I'm in the same boat. I'd say I'm football-impaired, but it's more that I'm just sports-impaired in general.

On the other hand, since I still chuckled at the joke, that means that you don't have to have more than a passing knowledge of football to enjoy this one. :D

Ed Gedeon (eddurd) says:

@Mark: Jakob may be from the Old Country originally, but he's been living in the USA a long time.  Yes, they're watching gridiron American-style football.  An explanation of his knowledge is coming next episode.
