Jane confirms what a couple of commenters guessed ... if he can take it, Summer can let him have it.  Jane has wielded a hammer or two in her time.  Other times, she just kicks 'em through the wall.

The last episode garnered a lot of comments; let me respond ...

Pastangum, I *wish* I had the excuse of making it up as I go.  I have so many plots and sub-plots in my mind that I have to force myself to concentrate on the main characters.  It all leads up to a dramatic climax, I promise.

Gwen, I don't know if Jerry (from El Goonish Shive) is canonical in the EH world.  I don't even know if it needs a justification.  I prefer the comment of Mell from Narbonic -- "Mallets just happen."

Sam -- no.  Summer is not a lesbian.  There may be a same-sex couple at some future point, but that's a ways away.

As for the theory that Summer's mask is blocking the Charisma power ... you'll find out.
