Friends come and go, but Mom is always there.

Summer's team had to forfeit all the games that she'd played in that year.  Her former friends started avoiding her, she had to put up with a lot of harassment, she couldn't fight back because she might seriously injure someone ... it was the low point of her life.  Luckily, the move to Indianapolis gave her the chance to make some new friends.

This is the end of the extended flashback.  I wasn't sure how to compose it -- I wanted to have Jane approaching in the second panel, but couldn't fit her in with the other figures.  If I had time to do it all over, I'd pick some different angles to show, but what's done is done.

Next episode brings us back to the present, and how Summer reacts to her memories.
