Mondays and Fridays
I can't blame her about the polka music ...

June knows so many helpful household hints!

Sorry for the partial update again ... work has been killer this week.  Will get the full page up sometime Saturday.  UPDATE:  Full episode is now up.  Thanks for your patience!  And thank goodness for Google Images, for helping find pictures of the produce aisle.

There seemed to be some misconceptions in the comments for the previous comic.  In the August 8, 2008 comic, the lady shown there was Jan Odious, (mother of Mel & Cam).  This is June Unpleasant, Marilee's mom.  I'll post a side-by-side comparison later.  UPDATE:  I just read Pastangum's comment below .. yes, now that you mention it, Ginny and Mecha-Nichole do have a resemblance.  Chalk it up to my limited artistic skills.  As for June and Jan, think of Jan as a 1990's action villain turned good, and June as a 1950's TV housewife gone bad.  (She was actually named after June Cleaver ... but no, "Cleaver" is not her maiden name, appropriate as it might be.)

TL;DR - Enjoy!

Pastangum Felinix (pastangum) says:

Hi, Ed! I apologize for my contribution to the confusion.

Ginny Free, Jane's passenger, is the bearer of 'molded-plastic hair and optic lenses' who I thought looks like Mecha-Nicole.  She's on the right of panel 2 on that date.  June is merely the bearer of the Stepford Slasher Smile so beautifully illustrated, demonstrated, and perpetrated here; also, she doesn't wear glasses.

The Auld Grump (theauldgrump) says:

Heh - if I really want to find poisons at the super market then I don't even have to leave the grocery section....

Apples, peaches, and pears.... With the peaches being the easiest choice - cook up the pits for noodles almondine....

More fun is looking through the woods for the common ink cap - delicious, as long as you don't drink alcohol. An emetic if you do. (Not lethal - just makes you lose your lunch. Looks nasty, tastes good - and more importantly, it does not look like any really poisonous mushrooms.)

Wayne (wayne) says:

I guess June doesn't know that Ruger is made in New Hampster and Prescott, AZ.

The Auld Grump (theauldgrump) says:

She may be thinking of Lugers - but those were made in Switzerland.

Wayne (wayne) says:

I once had a German PPK, very sweet piece.  Also had a P-38, also a very nice gun.
