Molly Stark

Elizabeth "Molly" Page was born in Haverhill, New Hampshire in 1737. At the time, New Hampshire was a frontier and Molly grew up learning how to handle herself. When she married John Stark, it was noted that she was as good a marksman as her soldier husband.

During the revolutionary war, Molly Stark treated soldiers under her husband's command for everything from injuries to smallpox. From all accounts she was a forceful personality.

She and the General had eleven children. Remarkably for the time, ten of those children survived to adulthood.

While the character of Molly Stark in this comic strip is often used as a route into the humor, there is no apparent historical basis for it. People who use this comic strip as a source deserve the D they will no doubt get on their term paper. Cheers! Back to the Cast Page
