Monday through Friday, except when it isn't.
Did Major General Horatio Gates ever clash directly with Brigadier General John Stark? The answer may surprise you! Well, actually, the answer probably won't surprise you.
There were many reasons the invasion of Canada was a bad idea, but for the experienced commanders the core issues were logistical. The terrain vastly supported the defending Canadians, supplies were hard to move through the countryside, and the brutal Canadian winters meant delays could be deadly. None of which changed the fact that Horatio Gates wanted to conquer Canada. I have to assume he wanted to build a gigantic ice fortress and plan his conquest of Iceland and Scandinavia in it.

Eric Burns (ericburns) says: I screwed up the date this strip was supposed to go up, so it only showed up in the morning. I apologize for the inconvenience.
Michael Brewer (wusemajor) says: I keep wondering if Horatio Gates is related to Nicolas Cage's character in National Treasure, Benjamin Franklin Gates.

He stared at me, thunderstruck. "Matters of consequence!" He looked at me there, with my hammer in my hand, my fingers black with engine-grease, bending down over an object which seemed to him extremely ugly... "You talk just like the grown-ups!" ... full profile
