Monday through Friday, except when it isn't.
John Stark did more than win the Battle of Bennington! He's just some of what he did!

Stark actually resigned his commission over these events, and when he was put back (at an equivalent rank to Enoch Poor), it was under the explicit condition that the Continental Army couldn't tell Stark and his New Hampshire minutemen what to do. In fact, the Battle of Bennington was fought and won specifically because Stark refused to join Gates at Saratoga.

Brigadier General Enoch Poor, on the other hand, did indeed obey orders from the Continental Army and served with distinction at the Battle of Saratoga, among others. He died -- possibly of disease, possibly of a dueling injury -- before the end of the Revolution. Just to mention. He clearly was a better officer than Stark makes him out to be in this strip.

On the other hand, this webcomic isn't The Adventures of Brigadier General Enoch Poor, now is it?

He stared at me, thunderstruck. "Matters of consequence!" He looked at me there, with my hammer in my hand, my fingers black with engine-grease, bending down over an object which seemed to him extremely ugly... "You talk just like the grown-ups!" ... full profile
