What is happening at the top here?  I have a hard time making out the top middle panel. Is Newton killing the lady bandit with his arm at the left of the panel while trying to shoot another bandit with his arm at the right of the panel? When I first saw this panel, I almost thought Newton was trying to shoot his assistant, but reading the page three times convinced me he was just trying to shoot another bandit. Anyway, Newton may be smart and he may be tough, but in all of this kicking and stabbing where does Newton get the chance to reload? His gun only holds one bullet...
