daniel bristow on The Galactic League of Marshals By Mark Rudolph & Jerzy Drozd

The Galactic League of Marshals is a spookily accurate parody of superhero comics of the 1960s.

In fact, it's such an accurate parody, I'm not even sure it's a parody. Maybe these guys have just found some forgotten comicbooks in the corner of Spike Lee's attic and scanned them in.

Anyway, right down to the lettering and oversaturated colour, the accuracy is uncanny. I can't say much about the story, because only the first three pages are up yet - normally I'd wait for some more material before posting a review, but in this case I'm writing one now in the hope of encouraging Misters Rudolph and Drozd to post another update soon. Great work, guys.

Sterling Morris on Estancia Team PK. Story by Jihoon Kim, art by Sungjae Park, coloring by Gibong Park and rewrite by Paul Da Silva

They say everything in Estancia is forgiven.
Estancia, suspenseful and riveting, draws the reader into a futuristic world where freedom is found at the end of a train ride, if you can survive. Checkpoints along the way separate the strong from the weak, but not just physically. Waves of infection and deception threaten to diminish hopes of survival, but each enduring member holds a unique key to unraveling the mystery of, Estancia. The art is beautifully done with each panel undeniably capturing the essence of the imagination at its best. Engaging, well developed characters and thrilling plot seize the reader's attention and leave a growing anticipation for each new twist. Estancia maintains a spellbinding pace that compels you to scroll through the nominated "best use of infinite canvas" panels, and will leave you asking, what will be found at the end of the tracks? ... read it now!

bzzzzd on Skin Horse By Shaenon K. Garrity and Jeffrey Channing Wells

Ms. Garrity's (of Narbonic fame) newest foray into comics is already rife with innuendo and mystery. The teaming of Garrity and Wells may well prove to be a match that will rock the webcomic world - or bring it to it's knees. BWAH-HAHAHAHA!

Shaenon K. Garrity has previous entranced us with her rich tales of Mad Scientist derring-do in her acclaimed Narbonic tales. These stories inspired Jeffery Channing Wells to write a piece of fanfic that was staggering in its scope and breadth. Mr. Wells showed a grasp of understanding of the Narbonic world that makes one wonder if some nefarious manipulation was involved, some transplantation of knowledge and understanding that only the truly MAD can appreciate. In any case, that felicitous union of Well's writing and Garrity's illustration has spawned a new era of adventure.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you Skin Horse. Ms. Garrity's unique and endearing style of drawing bring to life the characters that are being voiced by the charismatic and intriguing dialog of Mr. Wells. In the very first panels, mystery abounds, adventure beckons, and Mad Science rears its wonderfully ugly head. We are presented with a rich environment that is presented with subtlety, both through dialog and an economy of line. The reader isn’t hammered over the head with details, but is given the opportunity to speculate and draw conclusion, knowing that such fallacy will prove incorrect – or not. That is the deliciousness of this strip: We don’t know what will happen next, what twists will be perpetrated, what dénouements will be unveiled, what agendas will be hidden.

Past performance of both artists promise us grand adventure and great storytelling. So, buckle up, and hang on.
