I've read some of this comic on another site, and I'm so glad it's here at WCN! If I could draw like this *falls over* Sven's art is so beautiful, the images evocative and delicate. The story is emotional, epic, challenging, about love and danger and madness. It's a manga style story in the style of WK and maybe even a little Hellsing, though, as far as I know, there are no vampires in it, nothing truly supernatural, just such an intensity of emotions. If you're looking for Ziggy or Dilbert, this isn't the comic for you, but if you're more into something Neil Gaiman could have done.. well, come on in... The air is electrifying! ... read it now!

Grounded Angel, created by Steve Horton (writer), Johnny Lowe (writer, letterer) and Vivi Erlanita (artist), is an engaging and highly entertaining web Manga that run weekdays on Web Comics Nation. The story centers around Gloria, a shy sixteen-year-old girl who discovers that she's an actual angel (wings and all), and the herald to the end of the world. This poor kid, it's as if being a teenager and surviving high school weren't hard enough on their own, now she's suddenly got to deal with demons and plots to destroy her. Her very existence inspires all sorts of wild emotions in those that view her, from love, to hate, and to jealousy. The second key player in the story is Scott, local sports hero, who is more than he seems. Scott is the classic antihero, a good guy fighting for the wrong side, a wild card who is sure to make things very interesting in the future. Scott and Gloria quickly develop feelings for each other, but will this end in a Romeo and Juliet tragedy, or will love win the day? That remains to be seen. Steve Horton and Johnny Lowe bring deft plotting and strong dialogue to the strip, while Vivi Erlanita produces beautiful, fully gray-toned art work. Gott Gauss is about two lonely people who suddenly begin interacting with the god of probability. With attractive artwork and a fast-paced, gripping plot, you won't be able to stop reading!

I luckily stumbled onto Gott Gauss just a few days ago.  Originally I wasn't going to read it - I was considering whether or not to join WNC and just wanted to see what the general layout of the pages looked like.  But, when I looked at the artwork, there was something about it that I found really attractive.  So, I went to the very first page and read it all in one sitting.

This story is about a very lonely man and an abused woman who play an online game together.  They don't know who the other one is in real life.  Both feel quite trapped in their current existences.  Everything is very drab until one day, mysterious messages appear on their computer screens.  the message claim to be from Gott Gauss, the god of probability.  The next day, they find amulets attached to their computers.  The amulets have written on them, "What is the probability that..." and they can ask it questions. 

 The story is really good so far.  It's fairly addicting - I feel like I HAVE to know what happens to these characters in the future.  I admire the creativity and sense of style that appears in the artwork and layouts.  I will definitely be checking back on this comic!
