Nobel's (or Swedish) Blasting Oil was the original trade name for nitroglycerine. It would have been fairly difficult for a non-anarchist to get in 1884, as dynamite is much safer and easier to use. This is therefore very possibly the most thoughtful and badass gift of the 19th century.
