Has anyone else got the vibe of how boring Goombas can be?  I mean all they do is walk back and forward and you slay/defeat/whatever-happens-to-Goombas by jumping on their heads.  Sure they occansionally will have wings that let them jump, but that's about it...  So much potential with our elemental heroes and it's just being wasted on some useless Goombas.
