In the 60s, a right-wing reporter found himself with Colonel Sanders and asked him, "Sir, what do you think about the hippies?"  Trying to get the elderly chicken officer to comment on politics of the day. A, as Sarah Palin would say "gotchya moment." The Colonell thought for a moment and said "Well, hippies like fried chicken too."

This is how large national companies should be; quiet about their political views. Johnsonville has been a huge donor to Scott Walker and before that has put false ads on TV about Democrats running against corporatists Republicans who would serve their interests.

According to Wikipedia (And there is nothing there to back up this fact) Johnsonville, the town where the sausages are made, was named after President Andrew Johnson. Abraham Lincoln  picked Johnson as his running mate because he was a southern Democrat who became a Republican. When he took office, he was one of the worst presidents we ever had. It was his actions that gave us Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush. His mass pardoning allowed the resentment of the South toward the North to linger 150 years after the fact. He created the Neo-Confederates like Ron Paul by pardoning all of the treasonist Confederates. He believed, as most modern Republicans believe, that America was a white man's government. He is single handedly responsible for Jim Crow. This is, indirectly, according to Wikipedia, who Johnsonville Sausage is named after.

No wonder they support Scott Walker. No wonder why we can't support Johnsonville.
