I try to keep this comic and the comments safe for work. This one is not safe for work, so if you are weak in the viscera, either clench your sphincter or stop reading.
FUCK THE NRA.
You heard me. This is on their heads. I am so sick of their garbage. When Gabby Giffords was shot, NRA supporters said "It's too soon to know." Now we know we could have stopped that if the NRA didn't buy politicians.
Fuck the NRA supporters.
They stop anything from happening. Now is this a case the could have slipped through the cracks? Time will tell. I can't help but wonder if James Holmes listened to Rush Limbaugh, but we don't know. It's too soon to know why he did this. But just because the gloves are off now and I have an opportunity:
FUCK RUSH LIMBAUGH!
We the people are sick of the fear that terrorist organizations like the NRA wants us to be under. That is right, I called the NRA a terrorist organization. Princeton University defined terrorism as "the use of extreme fear in order to coerce people (especially for political reasons)." The NRA wants you afraid of blacks (George Zimmerman) and they want you to have the freedom to shoot people and get away with it. Thus creating more fear and selling more guns. Their members are no different then Al Qeda. They use fear not only to push their agenda, but to make their corporate masters rich. They want you to be afraid and to buy more weapons. And if anyone wants to lament "If I was packing I would have ended it" then fuck you, you are an idiot. James Holmes was covered in battle armor. You would have made yourself a target and possiblty killed more people. You are a sicko and a terrorist if you say that. The answer is not more guns. It is never more guns.
To top it off, he had an assault rifle, Michele Bachmann's Favorite, the AR-15. Michele Bachmann is a terrorist (And I promice you more on that tomorrow.) Who needs an assault rifle? Seriously, who needs one? I mean spree killers do, but why on Earth would we arm spree killers? Because a terrorist orginization The NRA only wants you to read half of the Second Amendment. Let us look at the text of the second amendment:
A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.
A well regulated militia. They want trained citizen soldiers to be armed. To be armed in defense of your country. What else does the constitution says about militias? Article 1 section 8 says:
To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions; To provide for organizing, arming, and disciplining, the Militia, and for governing such Part of them as may be employed in the Service of the United States, reserving to the States respectively, the Appointment of the Officers, and the Authority of training the Militia according to the discipline prescribed by Congress
A theater full of people is not a foreign invasion and Congress did not fund James Holmes, George Zimmerman or Jerald Lee Laughner. Nor have they ever served. Guess who controls the Militias? The President. Article 2 Section 2 states:
The President shall be Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States, when called into the actual Service of the United States
In case you were wondering, the militias were reorganized into the National Gaurd in 1903. So then let's look again at the Second Amendment with a 21st century context of what our founding fathers wrote: A well armed National Guard is necessary to keep us safe and free, the right of these people to keep and bare arms shall not to be taken away by Congress. That is one sentence. Not a half sentence and if you ignore the first part then you are left with a terrorist organization writing our laws and people shot for just wanting to see a movie. Fuck the NRA.
If you got a problem with this, fuck you too. I am sick of seeing innocent people dying for no reason. I am going to ask people to use the hash tag #FucktheNRA when tweeting about this.
July 14th was my birthday. And I want to not ask for happy birthdays, although I will accept them happily, but I ask you for help. As some of you may know, I have never been to Wisconsin. We need to fix this, I would like to see Wisconsin and spend several days at a workshop run by one of my favorite artists, Steve Rude.
I don't have the money to do this on my own, but with your help we can get me to Wisconsin. As one who is making an investment in my art, you can receive some art. Check out the video below and click on the link to donate and help me get to Wisconsin.
