First up, an update from Friday's comic, when I ran the comic about "Life with Liberty" by Andrew Riley, he posted a reply in which his punchline is "Obama is taking money from my purse." This is in the context of the Statue of Liberty supposedly dating Obama. This basically is saying that African American men are criminals. Another distortion to propagate racism. I am still not calling him racist, but Mr. Riley, please spend a few "Brain Cycles" on the words you use, because this comic could have been funny if it was set up right but instead in trying to mock me you once again said something racist.
So, 5 out of 5 comics has defended homophobia, used language that demeans minorities or pushed a negative stereotype of minorities. Great job Mr. Riley. Great job.
On to Paul Ryan!
Paul Ryan wants your grandmother to die.
That's right, I said it. I mean he is not going to send a death squad or anything, but he wants to cut her off so she'd either starve to death or just get sick and die.
He wants to extract wealth from the dwindling middle class and force feed the rich by privatizing jobs the government should be doing. There are jobs government does better than the private sector. Protecting our diplomats, policing our cities, teaching our children, and so on. There are things the private sector does better, creating art, manufacturing jeans, building cars for example. However, he wants to take tax payer dollars and shove it into the pockets of the corporate oligarchy which is a more expensive way to do things. Where we are at right now with the fact that Cuba has a better healthcare system than we do shows you exactly what the free market does well, create a service we need, make it really expensive and reap the profits.
No, we are standing up to this and we will not let people like Paul Ryan, who has a history of running up the debt, who is considered smart because in the Ryan budget which will kill your grandmother, he believes that the magical jobs fairy will show up and sprinkle job fairy dust and reduce unemployment to under 3%. Or maybe that's from the people he killed from taking away our safety net.
July 14th was my birthday. And I want to not ask for happy birthdays, although I will accept them happily, but I ask you for help. As some of you may know, I have never been to Wisconsin. We need to fix this, I would like to see Wisconsin and spend several days at a workshop run by one of my favorite artists, Steve Rude.
I don't have the money to do this on my own, but with your help we can get me to Wisconsin. As one who is making an investment in my art, you can receive some art. Check out the video below and click on the link to donate and help me get to Wisconsin.
