Monday through Thursday

I am working on a film adaptation for Right About Now, and I have to say, there is something natural in writing long-form like that. In doing so, it's allowed me to breathe new life into the characters. One thing I find when I get a chance to write like that, is I have a certain way I make pop culture references in a funny way. In 3 panels I don't get much chance to write that way. So I apologize to people who want to have more tirades about the "Impending Monkey Apocalypse" which will lead us into "Planet of the Apes" in 3 Panels.

With that being said, I did get to give a small shout out to Tony Scott, who recently took his own life rather than continue on with Brain Cancer. Crimson Tide was his first of many Denzel Washington collaborations. The movie itself is forgettable. The only thing I remember about this film is they use the score from "Conan the Barbarian" in one scene. Granted, that's my favorite film score of all time...

Wow, somehow I made it back to Arnold Schwarzenegger...

However, if you watch one Tony Scott Film, I recommend True Romance. If you want to watch one with Denzel, I really liked "Man on Fire." Mainly because it was a Sylvester Stallone movie  where Stallone is suppose to just stand there and look bad @$$, but Denzel and Scott made this monosyllabic revenge film into a great performance with a complicated character.

This is like my Expendables comments...
