It may sound like everyone’s being a bit melodramatic here, but bear it mind, the building did have such things in it’s history (though admittedly before we ever were there.) And there were at the time a lot of people freeloading, sleeping in the off-limit areas, etc. There were some malleable individuals who were often all too eager to copy keys for their "friends", hoping to score some kind of social points in anarchist/activist/whatever circles, and there were some cunning individuals who recognized that for what it was and capitalized on it.
