My name is Jennifer Mathis, and I live in Houston. 

A piece of paper on my cubicle wall says I'm an architect; though I doubt the accuracy of things posted on cubicle walls. 

I draw a webcomic, and I make silly T-shirts.  Sometimes I paint.  My other hobbies include dreaming up fantasy careers to get me out of a 40-year-sentence in a cubicle, and being fantastically uncoordinated.

The name "Jen Xer" is a nod to my membership in Generation X (I was born in '74, so I just barely squeaked by). Unfortunately, that's just the name of my website/ pseudo-artist persona; I am simply not cool enough to call myself that seriously and pull it off.

According to Wikipedia,

Generation X is generally marked by its lack of optimism for the future, nihilism, cynicism, skepticism, alienation, and mistrust in traditional values.

Yep, that sounds about right.
