In fact, his lineage is Italian, Greek, and Egyptian, but the family has kept very close track of the path from father to son, for their own reasons.
Trained to be a bookkeeper, but far more interested in being a soldier, Felix has had a few too many trades over the years, which has led him to looking older and more tired than his years. In fact, he's only a year or so older than the Emperor's younger son, Domitian, and few people accuse Domitian of maturity.
