This was my first strip ever back in 2000-2001, the one that started all the rest. There's a lot of stuff here that would end up in Normalness, Unthinkable!, and Negative-Zen later. In particular the ideas of "normalllll / normalness" and the random tentacles, but also one notes that Imp first shows up in this one (albeit in a radically different form) No color, very rough in terms of quality, not only on the part of the art, but as you can tell the Photoshop skills were not very well developed (most notable at first glance by the horrible transparency attemps in the logos and in the buttons, not to mention that PSDs for all these don't exist anymore, since apparently I was not smart enough to keep them). Some other hints that this was my first strip include the fact that there's no "first" or "last" button (I had to use the previous and next button for those) to help with navigation.Interestingly, I did however have names for all of the strips in the archive, unlike with Normalness. This strip served as the basis for a CS class project my last semester in college, so that may have actually saved a good amount of the files, contributing to the fact that it is preserved much better than Normalness is (though this strip didn't move around nearly as much in terms of hosting as Normalness did... as a matter of fact, at the time I was doing the navigation links *by*hand* every time I uploaded a new strip...) In preparing to upload this strip I did a google search and noted that a strip also called Lab Rats (which I vaguely remember existing back in 2000) is still around and updating. Also looks pretty good. Nice to see it.
