Nearly everyone (if not, infact, everyone who ever came in contact with that machine) loves the Sega Dreamcast. It was a little game system that could, except that when it got to the top of the hill it found that the two giant, cybernetic trolls in front of it were more menacing than the one, old Japanese one it’d been combating for years. Okay, that analogy was pretty obtuse, but nonetheless, the meaning stands. I probably spent more time playing Crazy Taxi and Soul Calibur on that machine than I should have, but it was just so cool. I even didn’t mind playing DOA on the machine for some reason, even though the DOA series (much like Tekken) really doesn’t do a whole lot for me as far as fighting games go. And let’s not forget the Space Channel 5 game (which, we recently learned, was re-released for X-Box along with its sequel on one DVD; a fact not yet included in the Wikipedia article, I note) Nonetheless, this does not explain this post in which IGN states they’re gonna cover every one of the Dreamcast games again for some bizarre reason. My guess is that it’s either Hamdingers, or massive layoffs at IGN have resulted in the *previously* dismissed employees who were still living in janitor closets to sneak out and start posting with abandon. You will also be interested to know that White Lion’s “Wait” is playing on Sirius‘ “Hair Nation” channel at the moment. Or maybe you won’t be. But if you’re not, I’m fairly certain there is something wrong with you that only unreasonably powerful medication (with variable side effects that may include rectal bleeding and an inability to maintain molecular cohesion) can control. In other news, I’ve moved to my new apartment. I opened the door for a minute this evening and apparently let in a giant moth. That took some time, but I was able to trap it in tupperware and release it back into the wild and grow tall (like the mighty oak) to fight some kaiju or other in the near future. |
