Really just don’t ask me to explain this one. I honestly don’t have much more of a clue as to where the hell this came from in my head than any of you do. As a plus, as you can see, my Google Adsense is working, I’ve fixed up the logos so they are consistent across all the pages, and I’ve fixed the Calendar. Did I mention those already? I’m fairly tired. Umm… yeah. Art notes for this time around, I actually did a crapload of cutting and pasting. Quite frankly, the layers got away from me this time around. Thing was that the middle frame in the original pencils was much closer to the look I was going for in the characters tonight (but nowhere near where I’d like them to be eventually, of course) than the original first frame was, so I copied that out, inked it and then used it as the basis for all three cells. Kinda cheating, but fuckit. I’m not good enough yet to whip out the pencil originals in short order. The other thing is that you’ll notice in the original middle frame that the zit-thing is walking left to right in the totally wrong frame. So I inked him, flipped him around, and put him in frame 3. But, I needed him in frame 2 walking and dragging the bag of chips, so I used the template for the pencils to do a drawing in frame three and then inked that, before scaling it down to the size that the drawing in frame 2 was (and, actually, re-inked it at that point, since by scaling it down, I re-scaled the thickness of the ink lines, and it looked totally wrong). Of course, doing it that way resulted in a ton of layers, which I foolishly didn’t collapse often enough, so some of the inks are scattered throughout the various ink layers I copypasta’d through the frames. But, live and learn I guess. I’m Audi5000. |
