Seriously, ughhh. The things that come from my brain sometimes amaze even me with their bizarreness. On the news front, I got myself a tablet PC and I’m getting used to it. I was surprised that when Xanie and I were at Microcenter messing around with this thing and we realized it had some fairly good pressure sensitivity to it. I needed a new laptop pretty soon anyway (mine is about 2 years old from me owning it, and was an old model when I got it, not to mention it was overheating a lot and the battery was kind of falling out… it’s decent, but it wasn’t so good for me anymore), and this one was discounted, so it worked out good. Funny thing was that the staff was very happy because of the discount+warrant (it was a return and yellow-tagged), and Pastey was amused at the girl who was very cute and, according to Pastey at least, really flirtin’ hardcore with me. heh. Anywho, starting class this week again, but this one is in meatspace, so I’m hoping that it won’t effect my strip drawing. I’m really hoping to stick with it for the long-haul this time, putting stuff up regardless of whether I think it’s perfect or awesomely funny or whatever. Overly harsh self-criticism is both the bane and the motivator for any artist, regardless of their medium. I just need to remember that just because my art doesn’t look like my inspirations and my jokes don’t make people fall out of their chairs like the PA guys do, or my dialog isn’t as routinely witty as Jeph’s, doesn’t mean I should give it up.
