But I'm not finished.
I've been working on a new comic and going about it in a new way.
Here's the thing. In the past, I've really been concentrating on improving my drawing and doing individual gags. This has indeed resulted in my art skills improving, but it's also been more frustrating than rewarding. After thinking about it, I needed to approach this from another direction.
Style over substance, that's what's been the order of the day for my past comics. The new series is going to reverse that. Getting over myself in terms of art quality was surprisingly hard, but make no mistake, the art will (at first) not be so great. However, the substance and the frequency, not to mention the characters and the jokes, will be the focus.
My style for a long time has been pseudo-manga stylistic. As you can see from the character sketches I'm posting today, that won't necessarily be the case as I go on. Things will develop as they will.
So! Stay tuned, I'll be back and drawing quickly, I promise. No more than a week. I'll be posting art here as I go.
