ever samson (
ever) says:
I was in high school in the early 80's when our family dog, PUSLET, disappeared. My father suspected he fell victim to dognappers. Being a teenager whose emotions was made volatile by raging hormones, I was stricken with pain beyond description. One particularly hot afternoon when I was already in college, I remember passing out in our university library just out of sight of the nearest librarian. Suddenly, I was awakened by PUSLET's unmistakeable barks. I was violently jolted back to wakefulness in that eerily silent library. My undershirt was soaking wet with sweat. It was a peculiar, gnawingly sad kind of experience. I fought the tears. I glamced at the library clock. It was about time for my next subject. I collected my things and went straight home.
