Ahh, I love this guy. He makes me happy.
Now, the important news: There's a bit of a change. In fact, quite a hefty one, shall we say. For one thing, we're not going to be in exact chronological order from now on. This current storyline is going to be temporarily suspended, and upcoming new material will be a series of stand-alone vignettes!
"But I don't understand," I hear someone cry. "What do you mean, vignettes? What do you mean, suspended? What happens at school now? And what's this about a dang banana??"
Exactly!
(*cough*) Ahem. Sorry. (*grin*) I mean to say: Think of everything we've had so far as being the main Bollywood movie, and these upcoming vignette episodes are going to be its commercial breaks. (Yes, it's true, there are commercial breaks during Indian movie theater screenings, but that's neither here nor there.) Each vignette will spotlight a certain Jupiter character at a certain moment in time -- past, present, future. Actually, if you're a ficcer, you might know what I mean: y' know how you'll be writing long storyline arcs, but every so often you pop out of continuity to write a good vignette or three, because it's just so much fun. And great for character development as well. Then you go back to continuing those arcs you've been writing, but you still go ahead and write more vignettes. Man, during my ficcer days, vignettes were my favorite.)
Anyway, that's just the tip of the Big Top tent of new things to come. I'm quite excited about the whole thing, to tell the truth. Hope you'll like the rest -- stay tuned to find out!
