Uncertain.
Hello, everyone! Welcome to "G&M ~Märchen~"!
This is a very long story, one whose beginning is slow, I'll admit it. But I hope you sincerely enjoy it.
And updates are uncertain, because of how long it takes to do each page in Photoshop....I actually have about 50 or so pages pencilled....ha, I'm an idiot.
More of an idiot, since I haven't finished redoing the pages for my other webcomic here.....

*scurries*

Story, art, pages, etc. (C) NAAN/Nancy A./JR Studios. 2001-2007.

Slowly but surely....D: I hate the slow beginning too, but it's necessary! ;_______;
My football team won against our rivals! Whoo, finally!

Hah, another page done.....*keels over*

By the way, I've updated all the pages so far. They've been resized a way smaller size (too big >>;; ), and I edited some of the pages (I had forgotten to draw in Nancy's lines!).....man, that felt weird, calling my name. But hell, Frank Cho can do it too }3

Also, if you vote on the TWC button for G&M (not yet for A&C :( ), you'll get a liitle sketchy sneak peek at a character who'll appear soon adn will affect Nancy...forevah }')

 Thanks!

Yay! Overdue page!~ D: xD

Sorry for having disappeared! College was killing me DDx And now I'm on Thanksgiving Break! Which will mean nothing because I have to work on 2 projects that are due after Break (one the same week, the other in 2 weeks). >: ( BUT I might have the possibilty of updating 2 pages this week....*U* I hope so!

So, forewarning: If I disappear again, you'll know why.....

***If you vote for me on TopWebComics (click banner above), you'll get to see what one of my Secret Santas did for me! :DDD (ok, so it's November and friggin' Thanksgiving, so who the hell cares?! xDDD Tell that to the department stores who had Halloween costumes since August!). Hope you enjoy!

Le gasp! What's this? TWO Updates! Yes, that's right. I thought it'd be fair for all those who were waiting (both for my lateness/college and WCN to fix its image system) that I'd update two pages. That way, if something happens, they're my scapegoat xDDDD

Anyway....if you want a good book to read that's in the same vein as social commentary, read Visions of a Twilight Zone by Arlen Schumer. (?) I read it and dearie me, it had lots of stuff that G&M is going to touch upon. (I had never read it before, I got it this Xmas :3 )

!!

Vote for me on TWC to see another future character, and on Buzzcomix to see sketches of a Harry Potter Honors Seminar project (yes, that's right, HP) that was first going to be an animation, then I changed it to a comic. (And in the end, I abandoned these ideas and just made a Cosplay project about HP...cosplays. I dressed up as Luna, lion and all :D )

Do-woot-do-woo~ new overdue page. :) Got nothing to say, only to comment that lately I've been feeling depressed. This, due to the fact that about 3 or less people might be reading this and I only believe one of them (that's because he/she has been commenting to me about it.)

So in other words I'm slowly losing interest not in doing this, but basically caring about whether or not people might actually be reading it. I know I probably have no fans whatsoever, and no readers. Why continue?.....Hmm, because I like comicking :) Although not having at least someone showing they actually read my comics does hurt.

So, if you do read this, and want to criticize/fight with me otherwise, go here:  http://z7.invisionfree.com/Jadine_Rhine_Studios/index.php?act=idx

This way, I'll know who's who....and I'll know the truth.

Don't worry, it will all make sense....someday. Before the end of this webcomic.

Seriously.

xD

By the way, you can join the forum here: http://z7.invisionfree.com/Jadine_Rhine_Studios/index.php?act=idx and critique!

I AM BACK FROM RUSSIA! AND FINALLY ON VACATION!!!

That means...making more comic pages >: )

Of course, my intuition tells me I should create a buffer now while I have the chance.....but then, I can't even start to finish one of the pages for Ara & Celi D:

That, and I get distracted. A LOT.

Ay-ay-ayy.

Anyway, vote incentiiiiiveeeeesssssss!

TWC: A little speed painting I did of Nancy almost right before I left for Russia. Naturally, I was working on THIS page and had finished. Except for the speech balloons. I did that TODAY ;))))) I love this song by the way. Link after you vote.

Buzz: Since I have fixed properly the previous page, you can now compare. The old one's the incentive.

Thanks!

Since June 26, I've been working on this page....I kept thinking "wow, one of the easiest pages, and this is taking me too long to do, even for me!" xDDDD

I've also been thinking of the way I've been coloring these....I try to not use as much as much shadow/shading and stuff as I do on Ara & Celi (minimalist xD) but like in this page, it seems weird...I don't know I think I'm babbling already xD

Enjoy!

Nothing much to say, really. xD;; The speech bubbles are what I'm most worried about here, but for now no biggies :D

 Enjoy!

Thanks for your support :) Google 'Greta Garbo' if you don't know who she is (in which case I feel bad for me, myself and history) : >

Nothing much to say. Here's the new style :) There are some glaring errors here but I'll fix that later.

There's one page (5, I think) that's been edited slightly.

Thanks for your support :D

When was this last updated? xDD Anyway, another new page. Now hopefully the next one will be...someday seen.

GIMP saved my widdle butt here <3 Photoshop just wasn't working for me in regards to inking. GIMP's pen/brush tool has that smoothness that while sometimes looks weird (especially with coloring), I think it fits G&M :)

Enjoy and thanks!

Arlen Schumer is one of the foremost historians of comic book art, named by Comic Book Artist magazine in 1998 as "one of the more articulate and enthusiastic advocates of comic book art in America." He’s written articles appearing in Print magazine, including "The New Graphics of Comic Book Art" in 1988; presented multimedia shows for the New York Art Directors Club, 1992's Superhero to Antihero: Comic Book Art in the 1960's, and ComiCulture in '95; and created exhibit designs for the Words and Pictures Museum in Northampton, Massachusetts, The Graphic History of Batman in 1997 and The Art History of Superman in '98.

In the Fall of 2002 he presented a 4-session lecture series, Superheroes in the ‘60s: Comics & Counterculture, at The CUNY Graduate Center in New York City, and then wrote an article based on it for the debut issue of Comic Art magazine (www.comicartmagazine.com/archive-issue1sect7.php). He reprised the lecture series in the Fall of 2003 for CUNY, this time titled, “The Silver Age of Comic Book Art,” to tie-in with his coffeetable art book of the same name, released in December 2003 from Collectors Press (www.amazon.com/Silver-Age-Comic-Book Art/dp/1888054867/ref=dp_return_2/102-3932749-3481757?ie=UTF8&n=283155&s=books), and winner of the Independent Book Publishers award for best Popular Culture book of 2003.
