Pen, brush and ink on paper I blasted this one off in less than 2 hours playing with a faster, looser feel. I alternate between the tight photo-realistic style and faster interpretations. We did this photo shoot on the sly in the alleyways of East Vancouver, BC. A few people raised eyebrows at all the guns that we were sporting. The originals were so loose that I had to redraw the panel borders in on computer. I started playing around with “decayed” fonts for sound effects. I remember Howard Chaykin having fun with sound effect lettering in American Flagg. I use them throughout the story. -Jay
